Haven't touched this for a few months, but I thought it's alright to share a test render of the currently 80% complete version. So I took her out or storage, did a quick pose and setup with the infamous light-sphere-fake-radiosity trick. You can easily spot lots of bugs in this test render. NOTE: This image may NOT be used for any purpose (except viewing from my website) without my expressed permission.
A post mortem of the previous version revealed that my surface settings were totally off. I was playing around with Fresnel and translucency, while trying to achieve dramatic lighting in a dark, foggy environment using too powerful lights. Anyway, the surface attributes are more down to earth now, but I'm still having great difficulty finding a good setup for bones and weights. I would like to as anyone with production experience in rigging realistic characters to please help me out! |
